My pet cat Spoosie

I'd like to take a moment to talk about our furry family members. One thing we love here, is pets. Almost all our team members have pets. From cats to dogs to horses. I have 2 cats at home who seem to get into more trouble than I like. Growing up I had a few cats and 2 dogs. My first cat was named Spoosie. He was an orange tabby cat who was an alley cat. I remember one day he just appeared. The orange tabby cat had no name and was very dirty. My parents didn't like playing with the cat or that we tried to feed it milk and food. But somehow I knew when I was 4 that taking care of the cat was a good thing to do. Later my older brother named him Spoosie, and we still have no idea how we came up with that name. Spoosie spent the next 2 years catching lizards and bringing them to our doorstep. I knew Spoosie went hunting the night before because my mom would scream in the morning from Spoosie's 'gift'. I also remember Spoosie taught me a very valuable lesson. Never try to give an alley cat a bath. I was armed with my bar of soap, paper towel and a puddle in our front drive way. Spoosie got the best of 4 year old me but I still remember that day to this day. We went to my grandparents house for 2 weeks to visit them but when we came back Spoosie was no where to be found. Spoosie had left us as quickly as he appeared. Spoosie was probably around 10 years old at the time we got him. We got the neighborhood kids together and formed a search party. But we never saw Spoosie again. I'm in college now, getting an education to become a supreme court judge. But Spoosie still has a spot in my heart. One of the local Charities that we sponsor is the Paws Placement. They help so many animals in our community. From getting pets adopted to taking in animals to training animals to be family friendly. www.ppnaz.org/home for more information about how pets in our community receive help.

Think Tank

How we keep improving

Findlay Toyota Think Tank We always think to ourselves, how can we better improve our guest experience here at Findlay Toyota Flagstaff. One of the ways we keep improving, is we hold a “Think Tank” meeting. We gather employees and team members. We sit all of us down and talk about how we can enrich our guest experience. One of the ideas that came out of the Think Tank meetings was implementing the kids tablets for our guest use, free of charge. We wanted to put games on the tablets that would build the kids creativity and puzzle solving skills. Sometimes we think that technology is used just for entertainment or to “kill time”. We can use this free time when you are waiting for your service on your vehicle for the better. We see it as an opportunity to not only better ourselves, but better our community. Another idea that came out of the Think Tank was announcing of the Charity of the Month. Last year we donated over 250,000 to local charities but some of people were unaware how involved in our community we really are. One of our team members told us we should be making our loyal guest more aware. For the month of April we are giving to the American Red Cross of Flagstaff and it’s just one of the charities we are giving for this month. This month we are sponsoring the Palette to Palate for Coconino Community College, The American Red Cross, The Shelter Service for Flagstaff, and the Second Runway fashion show for Goodwill of Northern Arizona. These are the charities we are donating to, for the local community. We have had many great ideas come out of our Think Tank but the tablets and the Charity of the Month have been our most recent ones. We believe if we want to have the best outcome we need people from different backgrounds and different problem solving skills. How do you think we can keep improving your experience, the guest experience? We are always up for new ideas and guest feedback is great. Our nation was built not just on the idea of one person but on the collective minds of many. For more info on the Goodwill Second Runway www.eventbrite.com/e/tickets-second-runway-tickets-3242082155

Ultimate Tail Gating Tundra

Ultimate Tailgating Tundra

Ultimate Tailgating Tundra Ultimate Tailgating Tundra You hear us talk about the Friendly Findlay Experience. You come to the dealership. You get freshly baked cookies, massages on the weekends, recyclable cups, complimentary car washes and kid’s tablets for your kids to use. One thing we have been having difficulty with is bringing the Friendly Findlay Experience to you, outside the walls of our dealership. No longer will that be an issue with our new Ultimate Tailgating Tundra in the works. Together Findlay Toyota and Findlay Customs have teamed up together to bring you the Friendly Findlay Experience to you. This won’t be cookies baking or kids tablets but it will be a whole other experience. If you are a fan of BBQ’s grilling out with friends or just enjoy a great atmosphere. Then the Ultimate Tailgating Tundra is for you. We will be introducing the Ultimate Tundra at the Overland Expo next month May 15 th – 17 th. I don’t want to give away too much information for what we have in store but it will be something new to Flagstaff. We know Flagstaff can jump into some mud, be environmentally friendly and be an example for other cities. All within our community. We want to keep giving back to the community, who continues to give to us. www.overlandexpo.com/west     for more information about the Overland Expo www.findlaycustoms.com
