Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for the entire month of October the Flagstaff Findlay Automotive Group will be raising money for the Well Woman Healthcheck Program through North Country Healthcare.
We will donate $25 for every vehicle purchased, and $1 will be donated for every repair order created.
These much needed funds will go towards helping low income, under-insured and uninsurable women to gain access to prevention screening and diagnostic services for breast cancer.
With your help, we were able help over 1,000 women in our community in 2015.
Everyone has been affected by cancer, either through your own personal fight or through someone you love. Findlay Automotive Group is proud to stand in the fight against cancer.

Findlay Automotive donates to Driver’s Edge
Findlay Automotive Group has joined with Driver’s Edge, a long-standing driver safety course with deep roots in Southern Nevada.
With a donation of $5,400, Findlay Automotive Group has re-established a relationship with Driver’s Edge that actually started about 14 years ago.
“We had our first event back in 2002 at Sunset Station,” said Jeff Payne, a 26-year resident of Las Vegas who founded Driver’s Edge. “The Findlays provided both Saturns and Toyotas for our first events.”
Since the inaugural Driver’s Edge event, an estimated 115,000 teenagers and their parents have received invaluable instruction about the challenges of driving. Instruction is conducted at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With no charge for those taking the course, the instruction is worth as much as $500. Because the course is offered free of charge, donations are vital in ensuring the program continues.

2016 Teacher of the Year
We would like to take the time to congratulate Brian Locke of Coconino High School in Flagstaff, AZ on winning the prestigious Teacher of the Year award.
It’s a prize to us and our community to have a person like Brian Locke as a custodian of our children’s future. This year’s Teacher of the Year event illustrated just how important it is to have the dedicated educators Flagstaff and Coconino County have, and more importantly, how much support they need from us.
Locke said he was honored to be nominated with the other two finalists, who he said work in challenging conditions, teaching kindergarten and middle school, every day.
“My heart goes out to those folks,” he said.
